Still trying to get more media coverage...

Google Analytics shows over 2000 page views from 47 different States, Europe, and Canada.

Polls show 296 tickets were not delivered. At an average price of $300, this is just under $90,000.

For those of you still without a refund, nearly everybody who has contacted me has had success with PayPal. I believe there was one exception, and he got a refund through his credit card company, but many people will not make it to Hampton b/c of Justin Kreft.

Please file a claim at www.ic3.gov, contact media outlets, contact Detective John Wontrobski (info below), etc.

Got a bunch of new stories today, and I suspect more tomorrow when phans who don't already know realize that tickets are not shipping. I'll end this update with my favorite story so far:

"This whole biggest fan ticket fiasco has turned into a blessing in disguise for me. First I was miracled for Friday night. Then I found a Saturday for $250.

From Kreft, I orginally bought friday for 345 and saturday for 325. The difference in total cost paid is exactly $420. how about that for some karma?!!"

Information gathering

Jason (bigmike235@gmail.com), a phellow phan who was Kreft'd, is interested in refining the data that is listed in the polls regarding how many tickets were purchased, as well as price per ticket. Jason has a connection who holds a very high position in the CO State Govt., and is willing to help resolve this injustice.

If you'd like to provide a little more information to Jason, please contact him at the above email.

While there isn't much humor in this situation, hopefully we can get a laugh from the Kreftd Cafe Press store that a fellow phan created: http://www.cafepress.com/Kreftd.

I'll definitely be sporting my Kreftd shirt at Hampton next week!

Another shirt that is possibly in the making:

Telluride Daily Planet article is up!

Thanks to the commenter for the heads-up:

Phish fans say T-rider burned them

The word is out! Let's get this to other news outlets!

I just called PayPal...

Even though my purchase was in Oct. 2008 and PayPal does not normally file claims for purchases over 45 days old, once I gave him the transaction number and he pulled up Justin Kreft, he said that "due to the extenuating circumstances, PayPal will make an exception and refund the purchase". There is a 10-day waiting period, but after those 10 days the money will be refunded!

So I asked the rep just how many claims had been filed against Justin Kreft, and while he could not give me specifics, let's just say that there are enough for PayPal to take legal action.

I think right now this sounds like the best way to kill two birds with one stone: (1) obtain a refund, and (2) get justice in a court of law.

  1. PayPal contact info: 1-888-221-1161, 4:00 AM PST to 10:00 PM PST Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM PST to 8:00 PM PST Saturday and Sunday
  2. Ask to file a claim for an item not delivered
  3. Inform them of the purchase details, and once they pull up Justin Kreft, I doubt you'll have any problems.
** Suggested by a PTer: Call and when you get a person, ask to be transferred to resolution center

Thanks to the peeps at PT for the heads-up on PayPal refunds. Don't wait, give them a call now!

in the works...

Stay tuned for an article that will be run in the Telluride Daily Planet. Reilly Capps, with the Daily Planet, has listened to our concerns and will print an article in the coming days. His contact information:

970-728-9788
reilly@telluridedailyplanet.com
editor@telluridedailyplanet.com

Reilly is also asking for a photo that can be run on the front page. He suggests, "...take a picture of yourself holding the letter from Kreft, or in some kind of Phish t-shirt or with a CD or something."

Also, file a claim at www.ic3.gov, as well as contacting PayPal and/or your Credit Card/Bank to file a claim as soon as possible. I haven't heard anybody has ruling out legal action, but be sure to take all the steps possible to get a refund.

So far the polls at this site have revealed he's robbed us of $35,000+, and all signs point to that just scratching the surface.

Digg this post...the more exposure this story receives, the better chance we all have at resolution.

PayPal is issuing refunds

Even if your purchase was greater than 45 days ago...

I've heard of many stories, and seen evidence in the form of email, where PayPal is issuing refunds for tickets purchased from Justin Kreft and biggestfantickets. If the initial representative doesn't allow you to file a claim because it's been over the 45-day grace period, ask to speak to a supervisor, and tell them that you know other purchasers have been refunded due to Kreft's shadyness.

Don't take no for an answer, and share your success stories so we can all benefit.

Telluride Daily Planet to run article! PLEASE read!

Hi,

What we could really use, since none of the people who got scammed live in Telluride, is some kind of photo that we can run on the front page. Can you take a picture of yourself holding the letter from Kreft, or in some kind of Phish t-shirt or with a CD or something, and send it to me? I would really appreciate it.

  1. if your purchase is within 45 days and was made through paypal, open a dispute at paypal.com and use the email below as evidence your purchase is in jeopardy.
  2. contact your credit card company to dispute the charge informing them that the purchased product was never delivered
  3. organize information and contact http://www.fox2now.com/news/contact2/to have our voices heard

  7. ****** from PT: "I was scammed by this guy and contacted paypal. Even though I was past my 45 days the guy still opened a claim. He said that if Biggest Fan Tickets get a certain number of complaints that because I have opened a complaint I can be grouped in with the others and potentially get my money refunded. So, even if you are over the 45 day limit definitely report it so we can get up to that 3% as soon as possible."

the email

Dear Valued Client,

Biggest Fan Tickets LLC is unfortunately going out of business. If you are expecting tickets from me, I am sad to say that we will not be able to fill your order. I have delivered thousands of tickets to my valued clients, but that is ending. Due to some extremely bad market turns in recent events, we are out of money and out of business. I cannot possibly express to you how sorry I am and am sure that you are very disappointed. We have no resources to refund or fill outstanding orders at this time. This must come as a horrible surprise to you and it has surprised me too. I have exhausted every resource that I may have to stay in business and had to make this very difficult decision. I am hoping to find work to keep food on my family's table and someday move on from these mistakes. I had every intention of filling all orders and hopefully getting a happy client for life when you purchased from me. I am left with nothing of financial value after this and can only say that I am sorry 1000 times. I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me.

I will be shutting down this email address and my phone number so please direct further inquiries via mail to my PO Box:
